This is your basic ladder riff that Yngwie Malmsteen uses all the time.  It is to be all alternate picked.  You slide with your pinky between shifts.

This classically inspired riff utilizes all alternate picking and is hard to play due to the changes between fingers.   Once you get it at a nice even tempo, it gives a great sounding classical sound.
